Rolling Back the Years – Llaying decorative, resin-bound surfacing at Westfield, Stratford.

Westfield Stratford City is a £1.45 billion development comprising 1.9 million sq ft of retail and leisure as well as 1.1 million sq ft of office space, three hotels and homes and is adjacent to the Olympic Park and formed the prestigious gateway to the Olympic Games in 2012.

Comprising of 300 shops and 50 bars and restaurants anchored by a John Lewis department store, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and a 17- screen, all-digital, state-of-the-art Vue cinema, we worked directly for Westfield as the Main Contractor to undertake the application of 3000m2 of Ronacrete Ltd’s Resin Bound Aggregate ‘carpet’ – a key feature of the landscaping package that forms the main walkway through the entire shopping complex. The works included laying an asphalt base course, followed by specialist Ronacrete’s Ronadeck Resin Bound Aggregate Surfacing System, including the fitting of aluminium angle trims.
