What a week it’s been!

This time last week, we were eagerly awaiting the results from the CRA Awards 2024, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to find out that a collaboration between Cemplas, R H Partnership Architects and Mapei, won the Large Project of the Year award for our work at Saltdean Lido!

Saltdean Lido, a 1930s icon, has been restored to its former glory thanks to the dedication of volunteers and fundraisers. Once derelict and at risk of redevelopment, it’s now a year-round destination with facilities like a café, library, and even an Art Deco ballroom. Selected as one of the Seven Wonders of the English Seaside by English Heritage, we’re proud to have played a key role in preserving this architectural gem.

Our team applied innovative concrete repair methods and sustainable technologies to restore the Lido while preserving its unique character—a meticulous and rewarding challenge!
