Cemplas have carried out extensive concrete repair and protection works to the public access staircases and walkways across the Derby Street, Vale Green & Heathside Estates in Norwich as part of multi-phase project.
Both edges to stairs and risers had significant damage to these reinforced concrete staircases which have been open to the elements for many years. Significant spalling to the soffits of walkways and landings had also taken place. Cemplas carried out extensive concrete repairs using Sika’s Monotop system of concrete repair including the use of Margel Corrosion Inhibitor capsules embedded within the repairs for corrosion management. Sikagard anti-carbonation coatings were applied to the soffits & other non-trafficked surfaces. RPM’s rapid-curing Vulkem Quick waterproof and slip-resistant surfacing was applied to the walkway surfaces.
