Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Ltd recently completed the waterproofing of balcony walkway on a residential block of flats for Wedge Property Management Ltd, and following this successful project the management company called them in to another of their properties where the flat roof had been leaking.
Following a detailed survey inspection Cemplas provided a detailed report for the planning, design and application to undertake a full refurbishment of the roof structure to prevent further water ingress.
The works included the removal of two layers of the existing felt, recovery board and preparation of the asphalt to remove bitumen and provide a suitable surface for the roof system by grinding. Following the preparation works, Cemplas operatives applied Tremco’s Repoma Rapid Cure Roofing Membrane which is a highly elastic membrane based on PUMA technology, with excellent crack bridging performance, and was the ideal repair, renovation and waterproofing roof system for this particular project. During the project Cemplas also removed the roof lights and replaced with new ones.
